The balcony was my favourite spot, coffee in hand while I looked out over the forest and valleys. We also had fun feeding the birds, and spotted rainbows, a koala, a kookaburra and even a deer moving in and out of the forest. The cottage felt like a home away from home, and its fridge, microwave and gas stove made it easy to bring along a few favourite foods for our toddler. The heater was enough for us during April 2026, so we didn't need the firewood. Just keep food in the containers provided. A rodent did visit us, but that's part of staying somewhere like this. We loved our stay. It cost $425 per night for two adults and a toddler, booked about six weeks ahead.

The wildlife made the stay feel magical: we saw a sleepy koala, birds feeding from our hands, kookaburras laughing and deer greeting us at sunrise. The views were incredible, and the accommodation itself was clean and comfortable, with all the essentials. The espresso machine was a very welcome extra. We're lucky to live in Australia.

Watching the hills slope down toward the ocean while we relaxed by the fire in the afternoon was magnificent. The cottage has amazing views and sits perfectly for visiting local attractions. Those were the best couple of days I've had in a long time.

We spotted a koala and enjoyed the spa bath during our honeymoon road trip. The location was lovely, and my husband and I had a great stay. We could hear a baby screaming from the other cabin on two nights, though that's not the owners' fault. We'd come back.

The fire was just right for a cold, wet weekend, and the cottage had everything we needed to stay comfortable. The views were great, and the space suited us perfectly. What we saw in the listing matched the lake cottage pretty accurately. It's also well placed for walks and the coast. We had a great weekend and will return.
