The staff were excellent, the parking was handy and the location was great. Our beds were comfortable, and we had a good stay overall. I’d stay again, but I’d choose a different room from 713. That room was very dated and needed an upgrade. One shower door was missing, several lights didn’t work, and the fridge was tucked into a cupboard that made it awkward to get things in and out. The air conditioner barely moved any air, even after staff reset it twice and maintenance checked it. By 1pm every day the room was roasting. The kitchen sink plug turned out to be in the second cupboard of the second bathroom. We can’t recommend the restaurant off the lobby. Our four meals were ordinary at best. They buzzed us to say the food was ready, then looked at us like we were idiots when we went to collect it. The cook said to drop the buzzer and take our food. I said it wasn’t ours, and it turned out they’d buzzed the wrong number. There are lots of great restaurants within walking distance, so go to one of those.

Make sure you’re getting one of the renovated suites if you’re considering a stay here. Our apartment felt old and run down, with worn, marked carpet that seemed to have reached the end of its hard life. The showers weren’t clean, and the kitchenette exhaust fan was broken. The washer worked well, but don’t count on the dryer. We had one load in it for a total of nine hours, thinking we must be doing something wrong. They did provide a clothes horse.

The top floor three bedroom had a beautiful layout and a one of a kind view. We had an amazing stay and will definitely go back. There were a few things that needed attention: the TV cabinet had come away from the wall on one side, one bathroom had no shower door, and there was some minor cosmetic damage. They hadn’t given us a plug for the spa bath, but we only stayed one night and didn’t bother asking for one.

Being right on the beach was the best part, and surprisingly, the sauna slapped. Most of the rest felt like a cheap motel rather than a four star hotel. The place seemed overpriced, with stark white walls and bare rooms. The hotel nickel and dimed us for parking and cheap coffee pods, while the internet was terrible: slow, intermittent, and required a sign in every time. There was no paid upgrade either. I travel all over, and it was the worst internet experience I’ve had in years. There were lots of small but frustrating problems. The bathtub paint was peeling, so I couldn’t take a bath. The lamp was busted, the carpets were stained, and there was no phone in the room. The gym cups were gone and the water jug was empty. Our advertised kitchen didn’t have a proper cooking knife, so we couldn’t really cook. When I asked for one, they eventually brought a steak knife, which was useless. As I used the forks, the turn down crew would take them without washing them. We started the week with three forks and ended with none in the room. They also left messes uncleaned and the bed unmade. The restaurant was disconnected from the hotel, so there was no room service even though it was offered. Service was bad too. Several times I called the front desk and got no answer, and when I told them about the issues, nothing was done. The front desk staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing.

The only real positives were the location and the super friendly staff. My son and I didn’t have a relaxing stay, and we won’t be back. For almost $500 a night for the more affordable rooms, I expected better. We stayed Dec 28-30, 2025. The room was in poor condition, including rust on the bath and shower floor. If you like to sleep in, don’t book a park facing room: the rubbish truck came at 6:50 every morning and spent the better part of 20 minutes doing its thing. Hat off to anyone who can sleep through that. Wi-Fi was slow, and the room access card only worked about half the time. Parking cost an extra $30 per night, and the pool area was dirty. Thanks in advance for the generic response to this review.
