The owner seemed deceptive to me. We upgraded to a suite with a spa, but only afterwards were told we couldn’t use the spa. The toilet was leaking, and when I brought up the spa issue, the owner didn’t respond. There was also the owner’s junk left in the cupboards. There are better places nearby, so I wouldn’t recommend this one.

I cancelled my booking in anger after the owner was rude and condescending when I called to confirm it the day before. I wasn’t comfortable scanning, emailing or texting my licence because I follow normal cyber security precautions to protect my identity. I’d already told him when I booked that I wouldn’t send it that way, but got no response. When I called, he wouldn’t offer any alternative. I agree with the other posts calling him arrogant and rude. Be warned, he doesn’t deserve your business.

The owner was really nice and helpful, and the place was clean and comfortable. Shops and restaurants are close by. Definitely recommend it, and I’ll come back next time I’m on the Gold Coast.

MARK CANTARELLA is rude, selfish and narcissistic. He doesn’t care about you or your safety, and will fight tooth and nail to keep your bond instead of giving it back. He’s incompetent at looking after anyone else’s needs. Don’t give MARK CANTARELLA your business.
