Darcy Arms Motel

A really enjoyable Mother's Day, with a great atmosphere and fun Irish music. The complimentary 'bubbles' for mums were a nice touch. All our meals were delicious, though there was more than I could eat.

It's a great place for a beer, with friendly staff and service, and the fries were very good. Unfortunately, the meal was well below average. I ordered my steak medium, but it came overcooked and was hard to swallow. If that's the best you can manage for Thursday night steak night, maybe skip it and offer a better cut.

D'Arcy Arms has a cosy, characterful pub feel, with locals and bar staff seeming genuinely familiar and friendly with each other. We visited several times while in the area and got friendly service every time. Our meal was generous and delicious, and the Sunday live music was great. It's not a fancy pub for Insta photos, but if you want delicious Guinness and a bag of Taytos, this is the spot.

The room was basic but suited us well, with a fridge, our own bathroom, a TV and a very comfortable bed. There wasn't a kitchen for cooking. Our room was by the road, so some nights were a little noisy. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and it was a nice place to eat.
