Marrakesh Resort

We had a really comfortable week here. The location is central, and the accommodation has everything you need. The pool was clean and neat, the gardens were nice, and the rooftop entertainment area was a lovely spot.

Appalling place. We stayed a few nights and dealt with rude staff, including older women who seemed grumpy. There were roaches, and one male staff member walked around with his belly hanging out. Whatever happened to professional manners and proper attire? Never again.

This was my second visit, and I had another amazing stay. Our modern, clean superior two-bedroom apartment was in a great position and nice and quiet. The staff were a delight, and Rudy's cafe downstairs was a huge bonus for its excellent food and coffee. I’ll be back soon.

The pool was decent, and check-in and picking up the key were easy. Beyond that, I was disappointed. The place is quite isolated, with not much nearby, and the hard bed, badly worn carpet, and dated, grubby-looking furniture made the room uncomfortable. There’s no room servicing either, so guests are expected to wash their own towels and take out their rubbish. At nearly $200 a night, with a four-star resort description, I expected more. I chose it over a traditional hotel costing $250 a night, expecting decent quality and comfort. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend it unless the price matched a more budget-level experience.
