Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park

We’ve booked again after several stays, usually for two weeks at a time. It’s still our favourite holiday spot, even though we only live 40 min away now. Great walks, right on the water, clean amenities, good facilities, and fabulous staff. There’s a pool and shop onsite, plus bbqs and the usual things you’d expect. Check-in is easy too.

We enjoyed the waterfront cabin views and the greenery around the park, then cooked on our BBQ looking out at the sea. At low tide we went looking for crabs, and after a refreshing dip in the creek, the heated pool and fun slides were a treat. Parking was convenient, and we liked having the food kiosk and truck nearby. The pedestrian path along the beach gives you places to explore in every direction, left, right, and across the bridge. Bring conventional scooters or bikes for the kids. The family run business offers the friendly service we really appreciate. The cabins are clean, though they could do with another round of mopping.

One of the worst nights we had in three months travelling through Australia. The unpowered tent site cost 70 Dollars, which is already a lot, but the campsite offered us very little. It sits beside a big road, so traffic noise went on all night. The camp kitchen had no equipment, not even a basic cooking plate. Our tent was beside the playground, where screaming children were right by our ears at 6am. Lights from the main house and kiosk stayed on all night, making the tent as bright as daylight. For that price, you’d expect decent bathrooms, but the toilets were broken or dirty, and everything else felt dirty too. The shower was so low that anyone over 185cm couldn’t really stand under it.

Really great place. There’s a pool just for kids and another for adults, with heaps of bonuses. The caravan spaces are well spread out, and the off peak price is reasonable. The streets line up with the maps too.
