Warringa Surf

The facilities are dirty, Wi-Fi and other services are poor, and reception is always empty. The owners are hardly ever around and, in my experience, don't seem interested in being honest or doing a good job. They kept my security bond and lied about why it couldn't be returned, even blaming something wrong with my bank. They were aggressive over text and didn't want to resolve anything. Do yourself a favor and don't book your holiday here.

The room was beautiful, clean and modern, with great views, and this turned into one of our best Gold Coast stays. We booked through a holiday app, but it made an error: we selected a family option for four, yet the room had only one bed, leaving our kids with nowhere to sleep. The manager was very apologetic and concerned, saying this had never happened before. Since the online price was already a bargain, he upgraded us to a two-bedroom place for a small extra cost and was very accommodating. He really went above and beyond. We'll definitely return.

The location was the only good thing. The first apartment was filthy, the fridge smelled, and the furniture was in bad condition. They moved us to a cleaner, better-shaped apartment, but it was still very poorly maintained. The kitchenware wasn't very clean, there was only one teaspoon, and two single beds were pushed together with single sheets. The old AWA TV had no remote and was hard to watch because reception interference was maddening. Parking opened with the same key as the building entrance. Different people own units in the building, so whether an apartment gets renovated or upgraded depends on its owner.

I've only been here a few hours, but it's been great so far. My room on the 8th floor has an excellent ocean view, and I can see as far as Surfers Paradise. The amenities are good, the pool is nice, and the room has everything you need. There's plenty of space to move around. The beach is a short stroll away, and it's about 15 minutes to the plaza or Surfers. I'd recommend it.
