I'm celiac and lactose intolerant, and I've tried eating here over the years. Each time has been disappointing. They have a gluten-free menu, but cream is added to everything, including the gravy and curry. You can make delicious food without putting cream in every dish, or offer sauces and choices without dairy. The only thing I can order is steak and chips, which isn't much fun without gravy. It's good that they have a separate fryer for chips, but a dinner of chips is pretty boring. The man serving me didn't seem interested in helping me find something I'd like. Please reconsider the ingredients and make the menu more inclusive for people with intolerances. We may be a minority, but I'm sure you'd get more business that way.

The venue itself is great, but the red-haired woman behind the bar was incredibly rude and put me off the whole place. I was very disappointed. I hope to visit again if the staffing issues get sorted.

The area set aside for having a meal with your dog was fantastic, and it looks out over the Clarence River. We stopped for lunch while passing through Grafton because the place was advertised as pet friendly and we had our dog with us. The meal was huge and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and the place exceeded our expectations. Well done Crown Hotel !

Right by the river, so it's a really relaxing spot. I bought lunch on two different days, and both the food and service were lovely.

The pub grub was absolutely amazing, and spending the afternoon on the deck, eating dinner and watching the sunset was a great way to pass the time. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They're old, sure, but I'd call them charming!!
