Grassy Head Holiday Park

I called after checking online because we needed two sites next to each other. That’s when I was told school holiday bookings have to be for seven nights, Friday to Friday or Saturday to Saturday. There was nothing online about that restriction. Management should put the booking limits on their website and social channels upfront instead of leaving people to find out only after they call.

We’ve already booked another stay, which says a lot about how much we enjoyed Grassy Head. It’s peaceful, still feels uncrowded and unspoilt, and there’s plenty of wildlife to admire from a distance. The beach is lovely and clean, and Scotts Head is just around the corner. We also visited Little Black Swan Art, a local artist’s home gallery with beautiful artwork of local things. The campgrounds and bathrooms were kept incredibly clean. Grahame was regularly tending the gardens and cleaning the bathrooms and laundry, and Tony was friendly, kind, helpful and accommodating. I felt very comfortable taking my daughter into the bathrooms. We travel up and down the coast often, and this has become a new favourite. Five stars from us.

It’s a nice campground with good facilities, and the beach is really close. Keep the checkout hours in mind, as they’ll let you know about them. Tree goannas may wander through the campsites, so be mindful of food left out and open tents.

For three years now, my husband and daughters have stayed here and absolutely love it. The staff are friendly, and the park itself is great. My girls enjoy exploring, swimming and snorkelling, and keep saying they want us to come back until we’re old. This place is definitely a hidden gem. Keep up the great work!
