Comfort Inn Greensborough

The room felt like something from a horror movie. There was rubbish left inside, dirty underwear in the cupboard, and black mould on the walls and ceiling. With no airflow, the smell was awful. Wires were hanging loose, and nothing seemed to have been tested and tagged. This place needs a safety inspection. The beds were like sleeping on concrete. The pool was filthy, and parking was very tight, followed by a walk to get there. Don't book the spa room if you have kids. There's no door or barrier around the spa, and it feels like an accident waiting to happen. Worst hotel ever. It should be shut down. I'd rather sleep in my car than stay here again.

The TV only had three channels, two full of static, and the third may have been an old cooking show. The light switches hung loose, and the heating and air conditioning barely wheezed when I tried them before giving up. I was left cold, with inadequate blankets and sheets that looked like they'd seen better days, so I slept in all my clothes. The bathroom shower was filthy and covered in mould. There were no window coverings, so people passing by could see me naked. The room itself smelled damp, with some expired cleaning product smell laid over it, and the carpet was so sticky I wondered if it was a glue trap. Three stars? It felt more like a bunker from the end of the world. If you're happy being cold, exposed, and worried about your health, bring your own blanket and a strong sense of humour. Would I stay again? Absolutely not, though I'll be talking about it for years.

We came down from country Victoria for hospital appointments and needed a room for just one night. It was exactly right for that. The room does need maintenance, but the linen was fresh and clean, and the cleaners do a great job with what they have to work with. The motel has recently been bought and is undergoing renovations, which is great news.

Leon at reception was so kind and made me feel welcome. The room was great, and the spa was awesome. It looked much better than the photos and was great value. Definitely better than it was over a year ago. Recommend ☺️
