Yambil Inn Motel

The staff are all friendly, which is a shame because the plumbing noise is so bad. Room 15 is one to avoid, the pipes in the bathroom wall make a loud rushing, almost exploding sound whenever someone in an adjoining room showers or flushes, and it kept waking me up all night. The walls are paper thin too, so sleep is hard to come by. Insulating the bathroom walls would help. The location is great and the room was okay, and without that noise I’d have given it four out of five. Also, people smoke just outside the rooms, so if you open a window for fresh air, smoke comes in. Keep the windows shut. Maybe other rooms are okay, but I can’t recommend room 15.

The manager was helpful with my questions, and there’s a local club with good dining just a short walk up the street. My room was very clean and spacious, with thoughtful equipment. The shower recess was large with good pressure, and the bath linen was good too.

Check-in and checkout were easy, and the service was great. The room was lovely, extremely clean, and well maintained. The bathroom has a cool 70s look but seems new. The bed was a little too hard for me, though not bad at all. Loved it!

We’d stay here again if we return to Griffith. The room is spacious, the bed is comfortable, and the shower is relaxing. Shops and restaurants on Main Street are an easy, quick walk away.
