The views were amazing, and the cabins were clean, modern and roomy. The location was great too. We booked two cabins hoping to use the wood heaters, but the wood supplied was only about seven small pieces for two days and two nights, with no kindling. It lasted around three hours, so we had to spend about $60 on extra wood to keep the fires going. They should provide enough wood for the stay, or mention on the website that guests need to bring more or pay extra, so people can factor in the cost or choose somewhere else. More milk would also have been good. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

We had a lovely, peaceful five-day getaway and are already talking about coming back. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, and there were plenty of food places nearby. The young man at reception was very kind and lovely.

The bed and pillows were comfortable, and everything was clean. It was easy to get in touch for details, and the self-contained cabin had what we needed for cooking, plus a spa and massage chair. The chair had a few faults, maybe it was a factory second or had developed them over time, but it was still a nice extra. We both enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was spacious, comfortable and very clean, and we had a great family holiday at Halls Gap Log Cabins. It was a nice walk into the centre, and we'd consider coming back to Halls Gap. There were big black house spiders in the second bedroom, though, so the three of us slept in the main room because we didn't want to kill them. The pool was disappointing. It looked clean, but the underwater surface was really grimy and slippery, and it didn't feel nice to swim in. I was told about it, which put me off going in. That was frustrating because the pool was one of the main reasons I chose the accommodation for a hot summer stay.

The cabins are beautiful, with lovely views of Mt William. Kangaroos like to stretch out and rest in the big grassy area in the afternoons.
