Halls Haven Holiday Units

The pond and surrounding scenery are lovely, and we were greeted warmly at reception. But the rooms and cabins don't live up to that setting. Our entrance mat was filthy, the bathroom ceiling had grey spots, and the shower was turning from white to green. The kitchen needs an update too. There was only one water glass, so the other person had to drink from a coffee cup. The tennis rackets on the court were shattered, and the golf sets at the driving range need tidying. The outdoor kitchen by the pond looks nice at first, but seemed neglected when we looked closer. Even the new tiny houses at the entrance haven't changed that impression. It's such a nice place, so please work on the upkeep before you lose guests. Prices are no lower than at better maintained places. The telephone cabin you've kept on site feels like a relic from the past.

We spent two nights in a standard apartment, in a row of units set up a bit like an old school motel. The fridge wasn't working, but they replaced it promptly after we reported it. The apartment was roomy, though it showed its age and was dusty. The bed was comfortable and the towels were good.

A great spot for couples or groups, and we’d love to visit again. There's plenty here: kangaroos, birds, and nature all around, and peacocks might even knock on your door. We played golf, snooker, and basketball, and the game room has lots of other games too. Everything was clean and well maintained, and there are bikes for a stroll. A perfect place for a group getaway.

The relaxing grounds have lots of trees, a pond, and swings, with kangaroos and farm animals like llamas and cows around. It's a nice place for families or for getting away from it all. The furniture and utensils are provided, so I'd recommend bringing groceries if you want to cook.
