Serenity: Halls Gap

We saw plenty of roos from the back window, and beautiful birdlife came by too. The cottage is cosy, with what you need right at the doorstep of the national park. You can walk into town, and many of the Grampians' spectacular sights are only a short drive away.

We've just had our fifth stay at Serenity Halls Gap 4, and we're already booking another visit for six months from now. It's a great setup for several couples, with four lovely bedrooms, two upstairs and two downstairs. One upstairs room has a gorgeous private balcony facing the national park, and the main lounge opens onto a big deck with the same outlook. We enjoy spotting kookaburras, kangaroos, emu, deer, and all sorts of birds, especially the wrens. The apartment is well designed and has a properly equipped kitchen with quality cookware and appliances. The beds have proper linen, which we appreciate. It's a two-storey, freestanding place, just a short walk from the restaurants, brewery, and shops. Treat yourself.

The views are gorgeous, and kangaroos come into the yard while emus wander across the creek. Walk out the back, cross the creek, and there are hiking trails all over the mountain, with wildlife around almost every corner. The house is quaint and just right for my family of five. It's such a magical little getaway. Halls Gap has my heart, and if I win the lottery I'd give the owners money to make the place mine. One day I'll make Halls Gap my home.

It's a short walk to town, and there are great walks nearby. The deck is lovely for an outdoor BBQ, with kangaroos, kookaburras, deer, and other wildlife around to watch. The home sits right by the National Park and is cosy, comfortable, and well equipped. There's air conditioning, a range of heating options, and a wood-fired heater for when the weather turns. We always enjoy our stays here, and the owners are very helpful to communicate with.
