Hidden Cove 2 - Private pool and buggy

The buggy was great for getting around the island, and the spot was lovely and secluded, sheltered from the wind, with modern facilities and a great pool. The pool didn’t seem heated and could have been hotter. We were left to work things out ourselves, and it took hours to figure out the very modern lights. We also couldn’t get the barbecue to work. Hamilton island is super expensive, so be ready to empty your wallet. The weather was disappointing for us, overcast and windy, though still in the low twenties.

We stayed in number 11. The location was good, the apartment was a good size, the pool was really nice, and communication was acceptable. But for what we paid, at the upper end, the quality of the furnishings, bedding, and kitchenware was below par. There seemed to be little thought put into furnishing the place. The kitchen had no blender or frying pan, so we had to buy one, and the selection of pots, pans, ovenware, utensils, cups, and glasses was limited. What was there looked cheap. A lot of the furniture was old and needs replacing. Supplies like toilet paper, tea towels, cloth's, and washing powder were limited too. The baby cot should be thrown away, the metal bars aren’t great for toddlers who could get their limbs stuck. We host on Airbnb in NZ ourselves, at a lower price point, and what we provide our guests would be far superior. We were really looking forward to the stay, so it was disappointing. I can only give it two stars for value. Hope you take this feedback on board.

With a toddler, having broken A/C was not great. Staff made no real effort to find a portable unit or move us somewhere else. Disappointing for this price.

One of the best places to stay on hamilton island. We had the best sea view from our apartment at hidden cove 4, and it came with a buggy. All water sports are free when you stay on hamilton island. There’s a pool for everyone staying at hidden cove accomodations, as well as a private beach.
