The room was huge and comfortable, and check-in and checkout were both easy. I was travelling alone for work and wanted somewhere that felt safe, and this suited me well. It was easy to find and get into. The bathroom looked a little dated, but it did the job. The new owners seem to have made a good start.

We’d happily stay here again. The room was exceptionally spacious for a motel, very clean, and had large windows plus a door onto the lawn. There was a sofa and a table for meals, a very comfortable bed, and a huge bathroom with a walk-in shower. Foxtel was a nice extra, and I noticed I could cast to the TV from my phone too. The restaurant wasn’t open, and town is a bit far to walk to for dinner. With new management, I’m guessing reopening it may still be in progress.

The new owners can only be contacted by phone, and they don’t have access to the website. The place is a typical red brick motel. Our room was large, with doors to both the green courtyard and pool and the parking area. It also had a connecting door, though we could hear everything the family next door said. Since none of the windows open, screen doors at the front and back would be useful for getting fresh air. The beds were comfortable and housekeeping was good, with triple white sheets. But room 6 needs its mattress flipped: the side where everyone sits had a deep dip, and I couldn’t sleep. The bathroom shower was lovely and hot, though the floor gets slippery when wet because there’s no curtain, and the toilet partly blocks the way into the shower. There was a mini fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, tea and coffee, plus a few plates and pieces of cutlery. The air conditioning was awkward to work, with a switch by the bed to turn it on. Even set to high, the room got stuffy at night, and the unit was very loud. The pool was a good size but had no shade. The brick patio got painfully hot on my feet, hands and bottom. The hot tub wasn’t operating and was being used to store cleaning gear. Neither pool felt safe: the kiddy pool couldn’t be accessed properly, with a huge step down, no handrail or stairs, and water deeper than expected. The main pool also had no steps or rails, and the first step was close to a metre down. I had to sit on the burning bricks to get in and out.

A good spot for a night or two. It was clean, comfortable and very quiet. There’s no restaurant or breakfast, but the room has tea and coffee making supplies and a toaster.

We were six people staying for two nights and felt at home straight away. The owner was welcoming and took a moment for a friendly chat while checking us in. Our rooms had plenty of space and amenities, including smart TVs, and the hot water was reliable. The beds and pillows were really soft, so we all slept well. We loved our stay.
