The managers don’t live onsite, but they met us when we arrived and were very responsive. When we had a small problem with our keys, they fixed it straight away. Late checkout wasn’t available, so they arranged for us to use the facilities at a nearby resort instead. The rooms were beautifully decorated and well equipped. Communication was excellent, and the staff were genuinely lovely. A wonderful place to stay!

We chose ground-level apartment 106 because of medical mobility issues, and it exceeded our expectations. The pool, beach, and views were right at our front door. Hastings St, with its restaurants and shops, was easy to reach, and having the Surf club next door was a great bonus.

The apartment was a good size and well located, but the facilities and arrival arrangements made the stay difficult. The shower recess was narrow and musty, with poor water pressure. The bathroom sink was blocked and wouldn’t drain, even though it was meant to be fixed before we got access. We had to brush our teeth over the bathtub. The reception centre was a 15-minute walk from the property. We arrived from interstate before check-in and mistakenly went to 71 Hastings St. Then, at ages 70 and 73, we had to carry three bags through midday sun and 30-degree heat with high humidity: first to the office to leave the bags, then back to town to use the facilities, then back to reception for the keys and bags, and finally back to the apartment. It really knocked us around. The staff member dealing with us just stuck to her script and said we should have read the email more carefully. That doesn’t cut it. The complex should arrange shared reception with Netanya, or at least provide luggage transfer or onsite storage. Someone less mobile or more infirm would be in real trouble, and staff need more empathy. We won’t return. I’m sure they don’t care anyway.

The spot is outstanding. From the pool you look straight out at the beach and waves, and I could watch my husband surfing. We loved our stay.
