We only had a short time at the motel, arriving after 9 pm and heading out by 6 in the morning for the foreshore. Still, it seemed like a relaxed country motel, with clean, tidy rooms that were a step above basic and good service. We were running late after Womadelaide on Saturday night, with a triathlon early Sunday, and the motel called to check we were okay and still coming. We were less than 10 minutes away, and they were perfectly pleasant about the delay even though we hadn't warned them. This is an edit to my first review because the comments vanished and the service rating didn't match our experience. We'd stay again for an early start, or even if we had more than half a day in Victor.

For the price per night, I definitely wouldn't recommend it. The place felt very outdated, and there were only two towels with no spares, plus no shampoo, conditioner, or soap. The manager gave us a password that didn't work. There was a chewed almond stuck in the door's peephole, and the pillows were thin. Some guy did concrete work around 7-8 pm, and he didn't seem to know what he was doing.

We slept really well here. It was quiet and comfortable, and we were happy to come back to the room each day. The staff were warm and helpful without hovering. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had what we needed for a relaxing stay. Getting around was easy too, with the beach, shops, and local attractions nearby. The price was great value, especially these days, and the stay went well beyond what we expected. We'd gladly recommend it to anyone visiting Victor Harbor and would stay again.

The room for me and my cat was easy to arrange, and there was no extra charge. But I barely slept because a man in a nearby room shouted at his partner all night, and nobody from the motel came to tell him to stop. It was only one night, but probably one time too many. Sorry 😔

What a gem. The cafe chef was unreal, and the service, care, and cleanliness all deserve five stars. The value for money is off the charts. Don't stay anywhere else!!!
