Hepburn Springs felt more pleasant and relaxing to us than nearby Daylesford, and this was a great base for exploring the region, including Castlemaine, Maldon and Clunes. Our hosts knew heaps about places to visit, things to do and where to eat, and we had a great weekend. The accommodation was spacious and immaculate, with a bedroom, a good-sized separate living room with TV and DVD, a small dining area, and a spotless bathroom. There was also a half-kitchen with a sink, small fridge, kettle, toaster and crockery, plus laundry and two outdoor patios. Everything was beautifully presented, from the decor and furniture to the materials, and it felt more like being a guest in someone’s home than in a rental. The two hosts were warm and classy, and the whole place was lovely and comfortable.

Moongate was a delight. It’s tucked away from the bustle near the trees, but there are several places to eat within walking distance. The accommodation is spacious and cosy, and full of thoughtful touches. The hosts were helpful too.
