The Arlberg's location is killer, but that was the only positive part of our three-day stay in a 12-person apartment. The apartment and facilities were basic and badly in need of renovation. We were short on essentials too: just 5 water cups, 2 wine glasses, 6 mugs, 1 tea towel, no hand towels, and 2.5 rolls of toilet paper for 10 people over 3 days. Cleanliness was the worst issue. The bathrooms were filthy everywhere except the hand basins and toilet bowls, with dust, hair and dirt in every corner. The fans were clogged with dust and the grout was mouldy. The facilities weren't clean either. Team Arlberg, when did you last check around the spa? Arlberg, here's my clear feedback. You need a whole new cleaning crew. This isn't the first or second time guests have raised apartment cleanliness. You also need a serious conversation with apartment owners, six-monthly reviews of every apartment, and a clear requirement that owners improve and invest. If they don't, reserve the right not to sell their apartments. That could mean less revenue in the short term, but you're on a downward spiral and might not climb back up anytime soon. The place we rented needs a proper coat of paint on the walls, doors and frames, including the corners. It needs new grout, especially in the disgusting showers. It needs at least one set of cups and cutlery per person, a shower caddy for soap, and something on the bare walls to improve the 'vibe'. The bunk beds and mattresses need replacing too, with anything newer than what was there, which looked like it dated from before the 2000s. A $1000 investment in the apartment would have made for a different review. Instead, you're getting 2 stars, one for the location and one for, honestly, I'm not sure what. Maybe the fact that it was warm and dry? Actually, compared with the cabin at a local caravan park in Bright where we stayed the night before arriving at the Arlberg, you deserve 1 star. Instead of spending time writing replies full of meaningless snow talk, do something about it. That would keep the stoke high, bro. Not. Good. Enough.
