Huskisson Holiday Motel Cabins

Everything was clean and well looked after, and we thought the rooms were great. Finding the place was easy. I called the day before our late check-in, and the lovely woman I spoke with explained where everything would be and said she’d turn on the heater since we wouldn’t arrive until 10 pm. We’ll definitely stay again.

The cabin felt cramped and dated, and its screen door wouldn’t shut and lock properly. The mattress was too soft for a comfortable night, while the quilt wasn’t warm enough when it got down to 14C. The two cabins also share a very small patio, so we could hear our neighbour’s phone conversation and didn’t have much privacy. Even the tissues and toilet paper were poor enough that we bought our own at Coles. The location is good, though much of Huskisson offers that. It wasn’t cheap, and I’d look for one of the newer places in Jervis Bay next time.

The rooms were spacious and clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and the bathtub was wonderfully comfortable. The TV’s in an awkward spot, so we couldn’t watch it from the sofa. Service loses a star because you have to clean everything yourself or pay a cleaning fee.

There was nowhere to put our clothes or travel bags, which was the main drawback. The large room had a kitchenette, with the toilet separate from the bathroom. It was excellent value, the beds were comfortable, and the room stayed warm during the cold July days.
