The noise next door made our stay especially frustrating. A full renovation was underway, and power saws, nail guns and a loud radio started at 7:00 on Friday and again on Saturday, carrying on until 3 pm both days. It looked as though the work had been going for a while, so the people running this place must have known. We weren't warned when booking or offered a reduced price. The cottages also looked worn and needed painting inside and out. At the rates they're charging, they should put some money back into them. We worked out that seven cottages at an assumed 80% occupancy and an average $300 a night would bring in $600,000 a year. Hyams Beach has changed too. It wasn't the quiet little place we remembered from visits a few years ago. In October, the beach was packed, and cars kept driving up and down the streets looking for parking. It felt more like Bondi on a summer day, and I imagine the end of the year is even worse. Not recommended. There are plenty of other places to visit in the Shoalhaven.

We've stayed here four times already and will come again. The cabin has what you need, and listening to the waves at night is so nice.

It's right across from beautiful Hyams Beach, and check-in was easy and uncomplicated. The accommodation is delightful, with a lovely setup and everything needed for a couples' getaway. You can also use the BBQ and laundry for free.

It's easy to get to a handful of lovely nature trails, and the rooms feel private enough that I couldn't hear anyone snoring. This is a very affordable place right across from the beach. Little heaters keep the whole interior toasty, though mobile service is very patchy and the driveway isn't convenient in the rain.

The cabin was spotless, with a comfortable bed, a small kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator, and a modern walk-in shower. The cottages are across the road from Hyams Beach, a mile-long stretch of white sand, and other beaches are within walking distance. These are 1930s vintage cottages, recently renovated and updated, with antiques that keep the historic feel. The cabin design gives you privacy, and we appreciated that there were no children. There's also a porch looking out over a creek.
