The owner was great, the rooms were clean, and shops are only about a two minute walk away. Parking beside the cabins is the real problem. The spaces are very tight unless you have a small car, and it's easy to scrape a bumper on the retaining wall. It happened to me and to the people in the next cabin, causing financial damage. Something to keep in mind.

I emailed the manager last year to ask if my dog might be allowed outside peak season, at his discretion. The website said, "One small dog only at managers permission only. Must BYO all bedding." The reply I got was, "Sorry no pets allowed." That information is misleading, and I wonder what other surprises guests may find on arrival. All these months later, the website still hasn't been changed.

The room was tidy and clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Foodwork and local restaurants are close by. The driveway felt a bit narrow for a full size SUV. If you're travelling with children, I'd arrange for them to stay on the ground floor, since the stairs are very steep and have slippery carpet.

The central spot beside the shops was great, but I won't be coming back to this cabin. It definitely wasn't deluxe: the double bed was very small, so one of us tried the small, uncomfortable couch instead. I tried the lower bunk, but there was no extra linen and the vinyl bed wasn't good for sleeping. The microwave hadn't been cleaned, the TV was tiny from the couch, and the light in the second bedroom kept flickering. We usually get more than one toilet roll too.

We stayed in Apartment B, not a cabin, and found it comfortable and very centrally located. The weather was unusually hot and humid during our stay, and the air hardly moved at all. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms would probably help.
