Carinya Village Jindabyne

Being able to hire snow wear and a toboggan right at the property made our trip much easier. We stayed at Carinya Alpine Village Jindabyne while visiting Jindabyne, Perisher, and Thredbo, and its location near the snowfields was excellent. After long days out, it was a peaceful place to come back to. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout. We appreciated the facilities, atmosphere, and value for money. It worked well for our trip, and we'll definitely return to the Snowy Mountains. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone heading to the snow.

The staff were accommodating, but they tried to charge us $15 to rent mugs, which you'd expect to use with the kettle provided in the room. The room we booked online was advertised with a separate bedroom and kitchenette, but it wasn't as described. It also seemed very poorly built: loose stair treads, screws sticking out in the entry footwell, bathroom tiles coming away from the wall, and more problems beyond that. With exposed screws and cabling, I'd be very cautious about bringing children here.

I left my headphones behind when I checked out, and the staff kept them safe, so I found them trustworthy. The place is cosy, and they respond straight away to requests. A nice spot for a stay in the Snowy Mountains. Good job Carinya Village!

Blair welcomed us like an old mate and looked after us so well. Thanks for giving us rm 21, Blair, we loved it. The cabin was even better than we expected and worked perfectly for our family of five. It has a peaceful, natural setting and a proper log cabin feel, without the cookie-cutter motel atmosphere you often get in a place of this size. The kitchen had more than enough for us, including a dishwasher and oven toaster, which made cooking easy. The bed was on the soft side but still comfortable. If you're particular about sheets, you might want to bring your own. We'd absolutely stay at Carinya again.
