The mattresses were comfortable, though the pillows were soft enough that I needed two. The bathroom is new and the shower gets hot, but its curtain only covers one side, so some water ends up on the floor. Rooms are basic, with a small fridge, milk, cups and a kettle, but no cutlery. It was quiet until bedtime, provided there wasn't a school excursion staying there. Service was limited, though helpful when you could find someone. There are four EV chargers rated at 22 kW, but I only got 4 kW, for slightly less than BP or NRMA, where charging is almost 20 times faster. Bring your own Type 2 cable at least 5 metres long. The EV spots were being used by non-EVs, despite signs saying they were for EVs while charging.

I booked four nights on a quick decision to head down during a good snow season, and it was the cheapest place I found. It was quiet while I was there, and very close to Jindabyne brewery. The bed was comfortable, with extra blankets, and the shower had good pressure and could get boiling hot. The room had a king bed, bunk beds, TV, small fridge, air conditioning, an iron and a small balcony. I didn't trust the balcony doors to be secure. Parking was available but limited. There was also a communal area with books and a fireplace, though I don't know if it works. I never saw or spoke to anyone at reception, which felt a little odd.

I haven't stayed there yet, but after booking I asked to change my dates and the motel refused, even though I understood the policy to allow it. I suspect they know people might cancel those dates and the motel could sell them again. Make sure your dates are firm, or choose somewhere that offers refunds. I plan to raise a complaint with Booking.com too.

After a day on the snow, it was lovely to come back to a warm, comfortable room. A cozy place in Jindabyne, and the staff were really friendly. I'd definitely return.
