Blue Sky Apartment

The apartment was a good size and the location worked well for our morning skydive, which was brilliant. That’s about all I can praise. For $350 a night, I expected it to be clean, but the floors were sticky, the windows filthy, and there were cobwebs and marks on the walls. One window had no flyscreen and another had holes. There were ants in a bed and the bathroom, stained sheets, and filthy carpets. The main mattress was so worn we both rolled into the middle. Previous guests’ dirty dishes were in the dishwasher and cupboards, with a dirty sponge in the sink. We couldn’t find a broom, only a dustpan and brush. It felt as if someone had left in a hurry. There wasn’t even soap, hand towels, or bath mats. We were extremely disappointed and wouldn’t recommend staying here.

A lovely place to stay, and the price was reasonable. I’d happily go back.

The fridge barely cooled anything, and even after a full day the ice hadn’t frozen. Still, the location is hard to beat, with an IGA next door and the ocean about five minutes away. Inside, there’s plenty of room for a family, and the living room air conditioner kept the whole place cool enough for a comfortable night, even though the bedrooms only have ceiling fans. Having a washer and dryer was handy after a swim. I’d suggest staying at least two nights.
