We ate on the balcony and had great views of historic Hannan St. The meals were delicious, beautifully presented, and affordable, with service to match. It's a fabulous hotel, a reminder of the gold era when magnificent buildings like this pub were built. Five-star quality food. Highly recommend.

We were a group of 12 and booked dinner in advance. At first I thought the prices were high, but the portions were generous and the plates looked amazing. We ordered a mix of dishes, including pasta, rib eye, beef salad, and the palace trio, and every one was good. Everything came out at roughly the same time, with quick, friendly service. Dessert was just as good. It's worth reserving dinner and taking a look at the beautiful famous mirror donated by Edgar Hoover.

The Irish pub theme was fun, and being served by real Irishmen made it even better. It's family friendly, and we got a free game of pool while waiting for dinner, which arrived promptly. The food, service, and comfortable rooms were all great. The only small drawback is that it's on the main street. I highly recommend it.

The downstairs is beautiful and historic, and the rooms were fine with good beds. We did have to kill seven cockroaches, which wasn't ideal in an old building, but it wasn't the end of the world. Overall, I was pleased with the stay.

There's lots of seating, with plenty of room to choose where to sit. You order at the counter, get a number, and staff bring your food over. Service is quick, friendly, and efficient. The menu is big, with lots to choose from. Everything was fresh, nicely presented, served hot, and tasted great. The toilets were clean and fresh, and always smelled lovely.
