Wildlife was all around, with grey kangaroos, Bennett’s wallabies, wombats, and a huge variety of birds visiting regularly. With the nearest neighbours at a distance and no Optus reception, it was wonderfully peaceful, though the WiFi worked well. This gorgeous little old cottage in the forest is comfortably furnished, sympathetically renovated, and well equipped. A perfect spot for anyone who loves nature and quiet.

We had a wonderful time and would recommend the cottage, though there were a few things that could be better. There is only one toilet, so it got busy at times. The bathroom itself was good. The third bedroom is small, with a single bed and trundle. Once the trundle was set up, there was no room to walk between the beds, which disappointed the two teens staying there. The other two bedrooms are large and well appointed. Each has a single step at the entrance. A night light makes it easy to see at night, but during the day the step is hard to spot when leaving the room. A small white strip on top of the step might help, rather than marking only the riser. The cottage is lovely and well appointed.

We celebrated our anniversary at Lemon Tree Cottage, and I'll never forget the weekend. I arranged a surprise picnic under the gazebo, got down on one knee, and asked my girlfriend to marry me. SHE SAID YES! The cottage was a perfect setting for the romantic getaway: cozy, beautifully furnished, well maintained, peaceful, and relaxing. There are so many little spots to sit and let the world go by. Each morning we saw kangaroos on the property while birds chirped nearby. There's no mobile reception, which was actually a nice way to disconnect. Internet and WiFi are available, though the connection isn't the fastest. It was good enough for social media and a bit of Netflix. We definitely hope to visit again before too long.

Sitting in Lemon Tree Cottage with the rain coming down, glass of wine in hand, felt so relaxing. Kangaroo Valley Escapes have been amazing.

A lovely quiet stay, with lots of friendly wildlife and birds. The stargazing at night was amazing.
