Ettalong Beach Apartments

We paid $580 for two nights, and I wouldn’t recommend Mantra after this stay. I’d booked three weeks ahead to show my cousin Ettalong Beach, but the room was disgusting, with men’s underwear behind the bedside table and lots of rubbish under the furniture. When we complained, the manager, who I think was Indian, was rude and unfair and told us to check out. He didn’t apologize for how he’d behaved. A really disappointing experience.

The staff were friendly and the location was excellent, but they couldn’t do anything to fix the problems, and nobody followed up or even apologized. I can’t recommend Mantra Ettalong Beach in this condition. The bedding was the worst of it: the mattresses were old, dirty and uncomfortable, and the mattress protectors were partly worn out. There was mould, filthy air conditioning filters and old, dirty doormats. Inside, the furniture looked like an odd mix of old pieces, the TV was small and outdated, the phones were visibly dirty, and the mirrors had water damage. The large balconies had no furniture and seemed unfinished, with their canopies missing, so there was no shade or protection. The room and amenities need attention. The photos show the issues clearly.

Rob and Suzanne made our first wedding anniversary stay so enjoyable, going above and beyond with the service. The room and location were excellent, and everything felt perfect despite the C19-V circumstances. They even sanitised our room keys. We were so happy we chose your apartment and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in the area. Many thanks to you both.

Rob sent me a photo of the view from the room I’d booked, and I had a good feeling about the stay. It lived up to that: check-in was quick, easy and informative. I’m a foodie, and Rob’s knowledge of local fooderies helped make the visit memorable. Ettalong Beach Apartments were professional, friendly and had a real can-do attitude. I highly recommend them.
