The apartment was nice, but not clean. In Unit 3 the bedding was old and limp, and the mattress protectors and pillows were yellow. There was dirt in the deck door grooves, used dishcloths under the sink, a black mouldy sink hole, a disgusting oven, and a rusty drying rack that needs replacing. We went to Kmart to buy bedding and cutlery, then reported it to the letting agent on their first day open. They said they'd refund our Kmart purchases, but two weeks later I'm still waiting. booking.com was supposedly going to refund the $50 cleaning fee, but all the running around, emails, and conversations with the holiday letting agent deserve some compensation too. A bad start to the holiday we'd been looking forward to.
