Blue Water Motel

I really liked the 24-hour guest kitchen. It has just about everything for cooking and eating, which is such a clever idea. The room was lovely and spacious, with a comfortable bed, fridge, and separate freezer. I think I may have been in an accessible room. The digital setup was appealing, and there's a ring camera plus an after-hours emergency number. I happened to arrive while reception was staffed, which helped when the third-party booking app gave me the wrong room code. That wasn't the motel's fault. The motel is on a fairly quiet street, with the waterfront a block away. The shopping area with cafes, a bowlo, and surf club is a mile or two up the road, so most people would probably drive. There's also a coffee van on site from 6am, with good coffee at a fair price. My one request is to add screens to the windows. I had to close them at night because mosquitoes love me. I'll be back and would recommend it.

Clare was so warm and helpful, doing everything she could to make our stay go smoothly. The room was spacious, spotless, nicely decorated, and had the most comfortable bed. We also made good use of the well-equipped kitchen, open to guests around the clock. There's a lovely pool, and the beach is nearby. The coffee van on site has shady seating too. What a great find for a one-night stay, with everything we needed and then some. Highly recommend.

We had a really good stay and it was good value. The motel feels modern but funky, with tasteful furnishings and a quiet setting. The 24/7 kitchen had what we needed. Check-in and checkout were interesting. My two gripes: the bathroom floor got pretty wet, and checkout was earlier than the 11 or 12am I usually see.

James at the front desk was fantastic, friendly and proper customer service. Hiring bikes was a great bonus. Such a gem of a motel. I'd happily recommend it and stay again. Thanks, guys!
