The washer and dryer in the room were useful, and the spa bath had a removable shower head, which were great additions. But the room felt old, and the cleaning was the worst part. There were things left in the washing machine and a clearly used bar of soap in the shower. The aircon was loud. With the window or door open, street noise came in, so it was hard to find a comfortable balance.

When I came back to my room that night, my bag and all my belongings were gone. The security guard on duty was incredibly unhelpful, and the whole thing was extremely stressful. I had no clothes, toiletries or personal items. Earlier, I had checked in with a group of friends, but my room still wasn't ready an hour after check-in time because the cleaners were behind. We had to leave for an event, so I asked reception if I could take the key and leave my bag in the room. He gave me the key. Two cleaners were still in there when I arrived. I politely told them I was staying that night and only needed to drop off my bag. They watched me put it in the cupboard. I understand mistakes happen, and staff can be short-handed and overworked. Still, better communication among the employees could have prevented this situation altogether.

The apartment itself is cute and comfortable, with large, lovely rooms, a smart TV, air conditioning and a kitchen. I like staying here and would recommend it, but the general cleaning needs attention. The towels and sheets were clean, but I had to use antibacterial wipes on the remotes, tables, wall switches, kitchen equipment and chairs. This time, even the toilet hadn't been refreshed.

The indoor pool was a plus, and the location wasn't bad, though we had to drive everywhere. We booked a 2br king and 2 singles, but the rooms and kitchen felt very outdated, with old carpet. The king bed was just two singles pushed together, and the old washer-dryer didn't work properly. It didn't feel worthy of a 4 star hotel. At that level, I'd expect a coffee machine and a few little extras.

The apartments were spacious and clean, with all the modern cons. There's a lovely leafy courtyard inside, and undercover parking costs $10 per day.
