There's nowhere to eat for 11 kms, and the general store is also 11kms away, with very limited options. Google listings show the cafe/bar Cosy Corner as open at certain times, but that's misleading. When we called the lady in charge, she wouldn't really take responsibility for the listing, even though the cafe is at the same location. We knew the bedrooms were upstairs, but the stairs were ridiculously narrow and steep. The handrails don't begin until the second or third step. These apartments aren't suitable for people with disabilities or anyone getting on in age. With small children, there are safety concerns too: the upstairs balcony has wire balustrades that are easy to climb, and the downstairs patio has no barrier. You can't watch little ones every second.

The friendly hospitality even included a secure yard for our dog, Stella. We had delicious prawns and fish cakes, and the Persian Love Cake with its pistachio crust and almond meal filling was a treat. The turmeric chai latte was fabulous too. Half serves are available at reasonable prices, and it's great to see gluten free and vegan options. The cosy setting, fireplace and comfortable seating made it a lovely place. I’m looking forward to trying more of the menu.

The service is great, and the flavours are exquisite. For somewhere off the beaten track, the food is spectacular. It's a must see for me when I'm in the area. Remember to bring some local wine to have with your meal!

Since the new management took over, the food and atmosphere have been terrible. I got food poisoning. The meals seemed to be reheated in a microwave, and they didn't even plate the food, just served it in a takeaway box. The curry was days old. Tea and coffee were lukewarm. 0/5, DO NOT GO HERE!!

The setting and atmosphere are good, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Coffee blends were fantastic, and the food was delicious and affordable.
