Waterfront 4brm House Cullen Bay

The waterside view was spectacular, and the pool area with BBQ was great. There are also some good restaurants around the bay. The apartments are privately owned, so you choose the particular one you book. Ours was average but did the job. The bed was clean and comfortable, though the pillows weren't great. The kitchen was very basic, and there's no hairdryer. Some curtains and walls were dirty, dust was hanging from the popcorn ceilings, and the air-conditioning vents needed cleaning.

We had a great stay, and the balcony gave us lovely sunset views. The room was quiet at night, with a comfortable bed and welcome air-conditioning. The setup was very good, with a toaster, microwave and a few kitchen utensils in the cupboard. You can request a hairdryer, as there isn't one in the room. A couple of things could be improved: the curtains are very dirty on the balcony side, and the bathroom could use some hooks or another towel rail.

Rose at reception was so friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, including a washing machine and drying rack. We loved the fantastic views and the location. We even walked to the Mindil markets. A top-level stay.

We came over from England, and my daughter had booked adjoining rooms with a good view for us. That's exactly what we got. Staff unlocked the rooms for us quickly, and the clothes airer we asked for arrived within five minutes. There's a free bus into the city centre, and the marina is a five-minute walk away for food and drinks. Mindil beach market is about ten minutes away, and the sunset there is great. In the apartment we had a balcony with two chairs, plus a washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, cooker, kettle and fridge. They leave two sachets of washing powder and some washing-up liquid to get you started. Both the bedroom and living room have fans and air-conditioning, as well as a TV in each, and there are two small pools.
