Lemon Tree Passage Motel

The service was outstanding too. Thanks, Jason. This was by far the most comfortable motel stay we’ve had, better than many hotels. The rooms feel modern and fresh while still having that old-school motel charm. Who doesn’t love a neon no vacancy sign? The garden is immaculately kept, and that care shows throughout. The bathroom and kitchenette have been recently renovated, the beds are comfortable, the vinyl floorboards are clean, and the modern air con gets icy cold. It’s out of the way from Nelson Bay, but the area is lovely and worth exploring. The Poyer's was fantastic for dinner and brekkie. I’m gushing a bit, but it really was great.

We ended up booking at the last minute because our schedule changed, and luckily found Lemon Tree Passage Motel. It was quiet, very clean, fresh and comfortable. The owner, Jason, was fantastic and really responsive. The motel is around 20-30 minutes from Nelson Bay and Port Stephens, near a Coles supermarket, a nice park and a lake. There’s also a huge shared garden out front, which gives the place a different feel from a hotel. We had dinner at the nearby Tillgerry RSL Sports Club, just a few minutes’ drive away. Check their daily special. Thanks for looking after us, Jason. I’d highly recommend it to families with kids. We’ll definitely come back and stay longer. (Selina)

Jason, the manager, had our room ready when we arrived, unlocked with the air conditioner already on. He dealt with any requests promptly and courteously. We had a wonderful time during our four-day Christmas stay and will definitely return.

The lady working there was really kind and helpful. She even lent us a BBQ grill for cooking, which we appreciated. Jason, the owner, is genuinely lovely and accommodating, and flexible about what we needed. Lemon Tree Passage Motel was clean, refreshing and very affordable, with a calm, welcoming atmosphere. We had a great stay and would happily come back or recommend it to others.
