Reflections Lennox Head - Holiday park

Our dogs loved the short walk to the off-leash beach. There are no cars on it, unlike Evans Head, so it’s great for walking and swimming with them. The park also has a small off-leash dog area, though it gets hot in the sun without shade. It’s best early in the morning or before dusk. Lake Ainsworth doesn’t allow dogs, which is fair enough. Town is a 1.4 km walk for the mini mart and bakery, and it’s a lovely place for a week away without a long drive from Brisbane. We stayed for a week. Both staff members at check-in were lovely, and the price for a caravan site was a little high but not outrageous. The amenities in block 4 were mostly clean, though there were cobwebs in the women’s showers. The water pressure there wasn’t great. My husband said one shower in the men’s block had good pressure and another didn’t. Next time I’d choose a different site, as some are better, though it gets busy on weekends.

The staff I spoke with at the desk were polite and friendly, and so were the cleaners and mowers. They were especially sweet to my machinery-obsessed toddler. Huge thanks to Elysia (?) for helping us juggle and change a three-site booking during peak holiday time. We’ll see you next year! It’s a large, tidy, well-maintained campsite, with a very clean amenities block and just a short stroll to the beach.

Tent campers should avoid the “powered site no caravans” on a Friday night. Those spots are on the main thoroughfare, and cars driving past late to set up woke both the kids and us with noise and headlights. Aside from that, we had a great stay. The location and amenities are great, the staff were accommodating and friendly, and I loved having a family room.

There’s a lovely range of Australian Native Plants around the site, with the lake and beach both within walking distance. The grounds and amenities were clean. The ladies at reception and the staff member we briefly met in the kitchen were friendly and professional, though sorry, I don’t know their names. A great experience. Thanks for the hospitality.
