The kids got to ask Alex all their questions about winemaking and olive picking, then see the vines and kick a soccer ball around outside. She made the tasting easy and relaxed for us, even with children along: she had colouring sheets ready and gave them extra olives to try. The air-conditioned room helped too, since it was summer. We really enjoyed the wine and olive tasting and took a couple of bottles home. Thanks for a lovely morning!

We stopped in after visiting the area and got a tasting plate with the family. The olives were so good that we left with two jars, Smokey garlic and citrus and Fennel, plus a bottle of caramelised white balsamic vinegar with mango and coconut. Thanks for the tasty treats and friendly service.

Rob made us feel at ease straight away, and even put on the tunes a couple of us asked to hear. He was warm and easy to talk to, and told us about moving with his family from the Northern Beaches to the Hunter for a slower pace of life. He seems genuinely happy with that choice, and I admire the courage it took. He’s definitely made the Hunter dream appealing to us. We’d only planned to pick up olives for my partner, but ended up trying both the olive and wine tastings. I’m not usually much of an olive person, yet we bought a batch of the roasted garlic ones, so I may be converted. Both tastings were enjoyable, and the olive tasting was well worth the price.

The wine and olives were delicious, and Rob made the visit especially enjoyable with his humour and personality. We loved our time at Adina Vineyard and Olive Grove. Well worth the trip.

The olives were outstanding, and Rob was the best host we’ve had at any Hunter winery. His tasting at Adina even got us back into Chardonnay. Thanks, Rob. We’ll be back.
