Graham gave us a lovely account of the homestead’s history, then took us around the property after dinner. We got to see all the indigenous wildlife on Kangaroo Island. Lyn’s gourmet meals were just as memorable, with care in the cooking, quality and presentation that could match any five-star restaurant. Lyn and Graham were exceptional hosts. A truly outstanding stay at the Straraer Homestead. Come hungry and curious. Thanks again for an unforgettable experience. JC & Joanne.

The food was so good I came away five pounds (2 kg) heavier, and I’ve traveled all over the world. I loved the rest of the stay too: reading by the fire, chatting with Graham about farming, and hearing Lyn’s inside scoop on Kangaroo Island. They may just be the loveliest people in Australia. Kangaroo Island is a gem, and if you go, stay with Lyn and Graham.
