We stayed in a compact double room, which was spotless and roomy enough for two. It had a large air conditioner and a fan, and we couldn’t hear the bar at night. The kitchen was clean, too. There were fun activities every day, including free bird feeding each afternoon. The location made it easy to get to Horseshoe Bay, the bus stop, and The forts walk, where we spotted two wild koalas. It was only a 10-minute bus ride to the ferry terminal. Best place we stayed on our east coast trip!

We had a great time at Bounce Magnetic Island. The campground has a lovely bush setting with wildlife, and the amenities were very clean. We swam, listened to the music, and had a great steak for just $25, with a schooner included. The staff were friendly, efficient, and keen to make sure guests had a good experience. There’s a really good vibe here. Well done to whoever runs Bounce Magnetic Island, we highly recommend it.

We only stayed one night, but I loved it. Seeing a koala mum and baby in the tree right beside my room was such a privilege. The place is big and surrounded by nature, and the room, shared toilets, and kitchen were all lovely and clean. Marta looked after us at reception. She was so charming and helpful, and explained everything really well. She also suggested a great place for empanadas, which I really appreciated as an Argentinean. The bar food was very good and reasonably priced, and the activities were fun. You can also rent snorkeling gear or skates. I’d definitely recommend it!

We felt right at home, so we ended up extending our stay. The pizza night and yoga with lily were amazing, and we were lucky to see a mama koala and her baby hanging out in the campground. I fell in love with magnetic island, and this hostel was a big part of that. I’ll definitely be back and recommend it.

We brought our motorhome, and the facilities were in fantastic shape and really clean. The location right next to the beach was perfect, and the staff and activities were great. It was lovely seeing wallabies crossing the campground at night. The air-conditioned bathrooms were a real treat on hot days. Thanks to everyone at Bounce, I’d definitely recommend it!
