The pool area was inviting and the bbq looked spotless. Staff were friendly, and there was usually someone around. It’s an easy walk to Stage Door Theatre Restaurant and the beach, and the Arcadia loop walk goes past a couple of cafes. The units were clean and comfortable, everything worked well, though the beds felt a little soft. We’d happily come back.

Our unit was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, including a nearly new dishwasher and washing machine. The outdoor bbq area was great, and getting to Alma bay, the Arcadia hotel and public transport was very convenient. The outside may look dated, but inside was in good shape.

We loved Maggie and already want to come back. Our five nights at Kooyong with the family were a real treat, with a flexible, private space that made it easy to unwind. The self contained apartments have everything you need for a comfortable stay, in a beautiful location. Shops and restaurants are walkable, and the bus or cab is easy and low cost. Highly recommended, just book it!

We barely needed to go anywhere by car, with the beach just two minutes away, a pub/cafe a minute down the road, and a convenience store and amazing bakery close by. The bus stop is literally outside if you want to explore. The apartment had everything we needed, plus a great pool, BBQ and lovely grounds. Perfect getaway on Magnetic Island, and we’ll be back soon.

The units are comfy, but I wouldn’t choose this for a couple or solo stay. The central BBQ area gets noisy, and the older build means that noise carries into the units. We could hear people upstairs through the timber floors, right above our bedroom. Seems better suited to families, and during school holidays I wouldn’t count on a peaceful stay.
