We still had a great family Christmas holiday in this large, unusual house, but the number of letdowns became a talking point. It can sleep a lot of people, but calling it luxury is misleading. Several air cons didn’t work, we arrived to a hot house with tradies trying to fix an ongoing air con problem, and the recliner lounges wouldn’t recline. A panelled pool area had missing glass panels that were boarded up instead, blocking the view. The master ensuite toilet and some other lights didn’t work, and one sink wouldn’t drain. The kitchen has no pantry space, a serious flaw in a house this size, so groceries end up spread over two levels. There are lots of stairs, which makes things impractical. We also ran out of gas despite there being three empty bottles, so it seemed the real estate hadn’t checked between rentals. There’s no keyless entry, so the real estate met us onsite. Parking is limited on a busy corner, and when several families arrived together we had to shuffle cars around so everyone could unload. The old place needs some love.

For this price, I expected much better. The property badly needs renovation and maintenance. Several air conditioning units and fans didn’t work, we ran out of gas despite there being three large bottles, and the cheap, thin toilet was a problem. The sinks didn’t drain and the toilets didn’t flush properly. It seemed like a management issue.

We had a great time in this amazing, spacious house, which can fit a heap of people and works well for a function. The location is fantastic, close to everything you need. The house does need some maintenance and TLC, though.

The house and pool area are beautiful, and the location is great. A neighbour complained about noise between 6 and 7pm. It was overpriced, but still lovely and I’d recommend it to others.
