Herbert & Elizabeth made us feel so welcome, and their hospitality is hard to put into words. They’re such friendly, wonderful hosts, and the place felt like a home away from home. We stayed over the October long weekend. The setting is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by bush, and breakfast was excellent. Next time we’ll try a deluxe room or one of the cabins. Thanks so much, Herbert & Elizabeth, for making us feel at home. You’re both one of a kind.

Elizabeth and Herbert welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home as soon as we arrived. It’s been a long time since I’ve stayed somewhere this serene and tranquil. The girls had fun with archery, tennis, the pool and spa, and we enjoyed the bush walk while counting the kangaroos. We woke to birdsong, a lovely change from the usual bustle of modern roadside high rises. Thanks, Elizabeth and Herbert. Hope to see you soon.

A lovely place to unwind. The sunset from our room was breathtaking, and I loved the cosy bed, cute curtains, beautiful furniture and the gorgeous rooms. Don’t forget the spa. Elizabeth and Herbert are such warm, wonderful hosts, and it was great talking with them. I loved this place and will definitely go back when I can.

A nice change of pace and definitely worth a visit. The welcoming hosts were interesting to talk to, and the continental breakfast was plentiful and nicely presented. Our room was basic but comfortable. The chalet is a great Swiss Chalet reproduction, and with the peaceful bush around it and the ocean only a short drive away, you can imagine being high in the Alps.

The owners served a humble but delicious breakfast, and the staff gave us wonderful, personal attention. I fell in love with this little NSW treasure. It felt like visiting Europe without leaving Australia, with a beautiful ocean view and cosy, lovely spaces. The rooms looked like something from a fairy tale and were very clean, though they weren’t large. I didn’t get to try the pool or sauna, so I’m eager to come back. Visit Herbert and Elizabeth and you’ll fall in love with them too.
