We had a lovely two-night family stay with our boys, aged two and four. There’s plenty of space, some play facilities, and it felt great to sleep in nature while still being just a few minutes’ drive from Margaret River, with lots of places for food and coffee. Feeding the animals was a great experience, and the team were friendly and relaxed with both the kids and the animals. The cozy house had what we needed, plus a few handy starter items in the kitchen.

The kids always love the farm activities and meeting the animals, which remains the highlight of our visits. The location makes it easy to explore Margaret River, with town and the highway close by. We came back to Margaret River Hideaway & Farmstay with our two kids and had another wonderful stay. Staff were as friendly and welcoming as ever, and the rooms felt spacious. They’ve been renovated since our last visit in 2020 and are more modern now, which we appreciated. The small downside is that the new bright white lighting takes away a bit of the cozy cottage charm we remembered. Still a fantastic family getaway, and we’d happily return.

We stayed for a few days in August and loved it. The farm is surrounded by lots of greenery, with alpacas, emus, chicken, and ducks. Kim was a joyful, wonderful host who helped with the little details that made us comfortable. It’s only a short drive to the town center and its shops and dining options. Highly recommended for families with kids looking for a leisurely break.

A clean, peaceful place with a friendly host. The tall trees around it mean you can’t see many stars at night. It’s best to stay and enjoy the property instead of driving off to nearby attractions. Do that between checkouts and check-ins.

A lovely, clean place to stay, and a great choice for bringing kids. They’ll enjoy feeding the alpacas, emus, sheep, and geese. It’s also handy for Cowaramup and Margaret River.
