The spectacular view gave us front-row seats for the State Life Saving Championships on Maroochydore Beach. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Catalina Restort and would highly recommend it. Our unit felt like a home away from home, with nice renovations and decor and a very comfortable bed. The staff were lovely and helpful. The owner should be proud of it.

We loved the location and the amazing views, and Maroochydore has moved to the top of my list of Sunshine Coast beaches. The resort is just across from a patrolled beach, and it was terrific being able to stay until 4pm for a nominal fee. We had a wonderful three-bedroom apartment on level 12, with aircon in every room. We were in tower 2, where the pool area was always in shade. Luckily we could use the pool area in tower 1, which was wonderful. Staff were courteous and helpful when a couple of things needed attention, and we appreciated that. I can highly recommend Catalina Resort.

The team made our week awesome, they were so friendly, and we’ll be back. The apartment was brilliant and had everything our family needed. It’s across from the beach and surf club, with plenty of parks nearby. Shops and restaurants are an easy walk too.

Our two-bedroom apartment, #73, was on the sixth floor, with a sea view and balcony. It was spacious and had everything we needed, and the pool and spa were a nice bonus. The location is ideal, close to the Cotton Tree Cafe Strip and about a five-minute walk from Maroochydoo beach. It was good value, but the apartment felt a little tired. It was clean, though a closer look showed areas that were due for a good spring clean, so it didn’t quite get five stars.

The apartment was large, really clean and tidy, and the staff were fantastic. The only downside was being on the first floor at the front. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the windows or doors open at night. I’d definitely return, but would ask for an apartment higher up.
