Adina Apartment Hotel Melbourne

Getting around was easy from Adina Apartment Hotel Melbourne, with public transport, shops and restaurants close by. The apartment was spacious, modern and clean, with a comfortable bed and great amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were smooth. It was a comfortable, enjoyable stay, and I’d definitely recommend it.

We were there for five nights and I enjoyed the stay. The apartments were good and our view was nice. Room service was okay, but you have to ask if you want anything specific done, like having the bed made. Otherwise they just take out the rubbish and change the towels.

The team were quick to help and moved us to another room. The air conditioning works there, and there’s no wet-dog smell. The shower has the same gap, so we have to be careful about leaks. In the first two-bedroom apartment, the shower leaked a huge amount of water into the master bedroom and soaked the carpet. We told the staff downstairs and did our best to mop it up with towels. They said they’d deal with it, but when we came back the carpet was still soaked and the bathroom was still wet, hours after the shower had been used. The air conditioning was poor too, with almost no airflow, leaving the room musty and smelling like a wet dog. They brought a portable air conditioner, but there was nowhere to vent it except by leaving the balcony door ajar. It felt like total amateur hour. There was a gap between the shower door and corner wide enough to fit a finger, and black mould in the shower, as if it hadn’t been cleaned in who knows how long. Super disappointing.

The location and value for the price were good, and the staff were friendly. We stayed Monday and Tuesday nights. As usual, the lobby was better than our room, which was very average and didn’t seem to match the advertised product. It hadn’t been stocked for our stay, the carpet was heavily stained, and the only chair looked like the one in the picture. We didn’t sit on it. The bed felt like sleeping on a cement park bench. The rest was fine, but the room quality didn’t seem to be something anyone took pride in. When I checked out, I was told the same mattress was in all the rooms. Would I stay again? No. A real shame.
