For a budget hotel, this felt well worth the money. Our one-bedroom apartment was reasonably clean, nice, and had the basics we needed for three nights. The fitness centre had a decent amount of equipment for a hotel gym. The location was a standout, especially if you’re going to the convention centre. There are plenty of trams and other transport nearby, and Southern Cross station is a short walk away. I’d been a bit concerned by reviews saying the place wasn’t clean, but had a really good experience.

Southern Cross station and tram stops are very close, with shops and takeaway spots just a few minutes away and open late. I’d stay again. I booked the budget apartment for two nights while exploring Melbourne, and the lovely woman at the desk upgraded me to one with a balcony, which I really appreciated. There were a few marks on the walls, some missed corners from cleaning, and stains on the leather couch, but overall the apartment was absolutely fine.

Check-in and communication were smooth and hassle-free, and the apartment had a spacious layout with great views. It was clean, modern, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Aura on Flinders is right in the heart of the city, making transport, restaurants, and the riverfront easy to reach. A fantastic option for a short or longer stay in Melbourne. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it.

I come back to this place every time I visit Melbourne. My room was spacious, clean, and well designed, with amazing views over the city and Yarra. There’s outstanding food just steps from the door, and Southern Cross station is easy to reach even with luggage.
