Balnarring Village Motor Inn

The manager was very friendly and made a strong first impression. Shops are a stone's throw away, an easy walk, and there's a nice little paved BBQ area outside that's fully covered. The place is friendly and respectful. In Room 9 the beds need replacing, though they became comfortable once I got used to the springs poking into me. The bathroom exhaust fan was noisy, and the microwave was just as bad when I used it for coffee in the morning. The nightly price felt too expensive, but I guess it was worth the money.

Reception was friendly, but the local activity board hadn't been updated since 20/21. The room was tidy and clean, though very dated. It had a basic flat-screen TV without smart features, and I haven't seen a DVD player in a motel room for a long time. Tea and coffee were provided, but no milk, so I had to buy some. For the price, I don't feel the room measured up.

The town is really beautiful and green, and the apartment stayed quiet and peaceful. My room was serviced every day and kept immaculately clean. Reception responded promptly and helpfully by text. I was there for a week of work, ending up in a huge two-bedroom family apartment with antique-style furnishings and decor. It felt homely, unique, and comfortable, and the bed was very comfortable too. The bathroom was a good size. Soap and shampoo were provided, but you'll need to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, and body wash. The kitchen had a gas stove and oven; the oven took a long time to cook, probably because of its age. There was no dishwasher, and the pots were hard to clean, so bring steel wool. There was a washing machine but no dryer. No smart TV either, so I streamed on my laptop. The room was quite cold, though air conditioning with heating and cooling was available. Thanks for having me!

Check-in and checkout were ridiculously easy, and the customer service was spot on. The rooms are really well kept, with an amazing shower. I liked the homey feel, which was different from today's modern concrete hotels. It's right across from the local shops, with a huge variety. I'd definitely stay again.
