The location made it easy to get to the Yarra Valley and Lake Mountain, with trail walks, the scenic Yarra River, eateries and a supermarket nearby. I’d come back, even though there were a few shortcomings. The beds were clean and comfortable, with doonas and electric blankets, and there was room to move around. The kitchen facilities were excellent, and the main house bathrooms and toilets were adequate. There’s only one bedroom downstairs, with all the other beds upstairs. The four beds in the back attic have no toilet or shower. Heating is only in the lounge, and visitors who are disabled or elderly may find it hard to get around. It’s a lovely venue for a small group. I’m unsure about its future, as the attached property at No 5 has sold and the Manor at No 7 is on sale.
