Blue Range Estate Villas

The restaurant was pretty busy at Saturday lunchtime, but the food came promptly and was good. The ciabatta was especially tasty, and the view from the restaurant was great.

The service was very poor, especially when my friends pointed out the green, furry spots on their bread. They were told it wasn’t mould and that the chef had thawed the dough and baked it fresh. After such a humid day, I can’t help wondering if that might have caused it. I came with friends because of the reviews, but my meal felt like a 70s roast. They enjoyed theirs apart from the bread. Sadly, I won’t be back.

We had wine and a platter on the upper deck, where the view was stunning. It’s tucked away and feels like a real gem.

The scenery at Blue Range Estate was spectacular, and the place had a welcoming, homey feel. The rest left us disappointed. Our wine was warm, flat, and tasted old, and only after we’d ordered were we told the kitchen had run out of pizza dough. The food took a long time to arrive, and the portions felt questionable for what we paid. Staff weren’t very apologetic, and even talked back when we described what had gone wrong. For the price, the poor service and disappointing food quality came with very little sympathy.
