City Centre Budget Hotel

Affordable, and a useful base if you just need somewhere to sleep and shower while seeing the C.B.D. It's at the Paris end of town, around the corner from the restaurant Maison Battards, next door to San Telmos and opposite Lapinos. There's even a carpark above if you've driven into the city.

These are dorm rooms, not hotel rooms. The bedsheets and interiors are fairly clean, but much of the rest is weathered and quite dirty. There are no private bathrooms, glasses, or cutlery. It's okay for the price, though it could be a lot cleaner.

For the price I paid, a week here was good value. The room was really small but clean enough, though not spotless. The shared kitchen and bathrooms were about the same, neither dirty nor especially clean. Staff were super nice, and the city centre location is pretty strategic.

The location was perfect, with good restaurants and amenities just a walk away, and check-in was easy. The room itself was old-fashioned and short on space for luggage or belongings. The oddest part was having no toilet door, with the bunk bed right beside it. You could hear and smell someone using the toilet from the room. Everything else was great, but two nights was enough. Tip: do your #2 in the shared toilet outside 😀 Thanks, guys.
